Thanks to Lily despite a rocky intense 4 years of my life at university doing maths degree and being involved in many activities. I have finally managed to succeed. The relaxation and rejuvenation I feel every time I have a massage therapy session from her has really paid off for both my physical health and mental and emotional well-being also! Very grateful and highly recommend Lily’s treatment – the fusion of Western and Chinese physio treatment – Second to none that I have experienced. Many thanks again!

I’m writing to thank you for the massages over the last few months. I was really concerned that I had serious inflammation in my arm and shoulder which would require extensive medical treatment. I am very happy to report that after your careful massage the inflammation and the pain went away and although I have to return the arm gradually to normal use it is very much better. I also appreciate the set of exercises you gave me which have been very helpful in strengthening my back and shoulders. I will certainly recommend your treatment to my colleagues and friends!

Working on computer long hours every day resulted in my stiff neck and tight shoulders (too tight to turn). It’s a form of RSI, causing increasing tension and pain. Having tried various conventional and alternative therapies, I felt very little improvement. I consulted Lily, and her magic hands immediately relieved a lot of the tension. Two more sessions provided me with extensive relief from both pain and tension throughout the problem area. I can sleep well now and focus far.

Lily is professional, friendly, and an expert in what she does. I came to her with several side effects of stress – constant ringing in the ears (Tinnitus)! I couldn’t sleep, couldn’t concentrate on any study or work. I was exhausted and had series of headaches every week… had visited GP a few times and been referred to hearing test, but my hearing was totally fine. I was very depressed as there seemed no solution from anywhere while I was suffering everyday. I visited Direct D-Stress for relaxation but surprisingly, lily listened to my story patiently and arranged a course of treatment sessions for me straight away. After only a few sessions with her TuiNa acupressure massages, I found a massive improvement – some days I don’t notice anything at all in my ears! Thanks so much Lily! I would definitely recommend her for stress-relief and any other physical complaints.

I have had RSI (or an RSI-like condition) for approximately three years, apparently due to long periods of intensive computer use (especially keyboard and mouse). At its worst, my condition involved stiffness, pain and altered sensation in my right hand, fingertips, wrist and forearm to such an extent that I was not able to hold a pencil or toothbrush comfortably. My GP was not able to offer well-informed or helpful treatment, though I was eventually referred to a physiotherapist in a local hospital, who treated the condition with ultrasound and a wrist splint. That treatment, combined with rest from keyboard use (and shifting my mouse-use to my left hand) reduced the worst of the symptoms, though it left me with constant background pain in my hand and forearm. For this reason, I looked into treatment of RSI at Direct D-Stress and eventually booked twice-weekly sessions over a period of five weeks. After treatments for my RSI at Direct D-Stress, I can confidently say that the level of background pain and discomfort, especially in my palm and forearm, is very much reduced. After each treatment my hand, wrist and arm feel comfortable, relaxed and ‘light’ and, although the discomfort returns when I am forced to type a lot, my level of ‘general background pain’ when I stop typing is much lower. Ling has also recommended exercises for my hands and wrists which have been very beneficial, too. I will not hesitate to recommend treatment from Direct D-Stress.

I had severe shoulder and neck ache for months on end and was getting very depressed. The pain was not going away and I was aching and clicking all over the place. I thought I was becoming a cripple. I had seen a chiropractor, paying a fortune for 10-minute visits which did not seem to do anything. The doctor did not seem to be able to help me except to rule out rheumatoid arthritis and I was ignorant of what to do, having never experienced this sort of pain before. I’m reasonably fit and healthy, but have just turned 50 and was getting really scared.

I found Lily by chance surfing the web and was desperate for help. After a first visit, Lily’s confident, practical and kindly approach lifted my spirits and her hands worked wonders on my stiff, sore neck and back, getting my circulation back into action. As well as this, the exercises she showed me really relieved the pain and stiffness and I put myself on a regime of three-times-a-day, being pro-active in my recovery. I felt I was in control and most of all, positive. Lily gave me hope and put me on the road to recovery — she treated my symptoms as RSI (repetitive strain injury and yes, I work on the computer a great deal and I drive long distances – why didn’t I think of this!)

After only three weeks of intense sessions, twice weekly, I felt I was getting better and loosening up. Lily’s massage techniques went deeper and deeper into the root causes of my pain, treating the whole of my back, my head and aiming to make the Qi flow again. More than this, my energy has lifted. Lily is friendly and enthusiastic about her techniques. She made me feel relaxed and very special. In my view, she is very gifted. Thank you, Lily!
